Ben is a PhD student at Northeastern University advised by Cristina Nita-Rotaru. His research focuses on exploring security implications of the underlying network in distributed protocols. These protocols range from blockchains and payment channel networks to anonymity networks (like Tor). He analyzes these protocols using a variety of techniques including network measurements, model checking, and simulation. Ben interned in the summer of 2022 and worked on DNS resolution transparency for IPFS gateways.
